Pants off party: Joe’s Jeans sequin denim shorts.
I don’t even have anything to say about these Joe’s Jeans shorts. Except when I saw them on the Lola & Emily blog I screamed out loud. At my new job.
I’ll be near Montreal over the long weekend and I need a dress for a wedding so maybe I’ll stop by Lola & Emily because these blog posts are making me more jealz by the minute. YOU HEAR ME MARNIE? I’M COMING TO THE STORE, OKAY?

Remember when I bought those hot pink platform shoes from Aldo? Me too.
Don’t worry. They’re still awesome. They’re just too big on my non-fat foot and there was a lot of clomping around and the occasional tripping. Very graceful. Do you have one foot bigger than the other? I do. Geesh.
But then I found Airplus for Her Hug my Heels – a little cushy strip that glues inside the heel of your shoe and keeps your heel in your shoe, where it’s supposed to be. As opposed to falling out and losing your shoe on the way to the bathroom. Because that’s really ladylike in front of your new coworkers.

Goody two shoes: TOMS Eliana ballet flats
The other day on Twitter, I talked about how I don’t really understand why some show companies make imitation TOMS. I mean, do people buy the imitation ones? Maybe I’m naive, but I assumed people bought TOMS because they have become somewhat of a cultural icon and because of the One for One movement.
But maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about. It happens.
Either way, I was never really a fan of the regular TOMS but when they started making the ballet flats, I jumped on that train immediately. And I jumped even more for this awesome cobalt colour. Because if you can’t find a pair of pants in this colour, you should probably buy a pair of shoes, right?

I’m not sure when Aldo started naming their shoes after Ikea furniture, but nevertheless, I bought hot pink platform wedges in a weak moment of OMG I GOT A NEW JOB AND I’M MOVING AND THESE SHOES ARE SO SUPER FUN I NEED THEM OMG.
Except they’re kind of too big and I need insoles much bigger than the ones I bought this morning. I tried to wear them at work yesterday, in celebration of the 30 degree weather, and I was very unladylike whilst clomping down the hall. Uncool.

High top: SCHUTZ Corinne Heel
I just can’t stop loving these shoes I found on Dealuxe. I love the look of a chunky heel and the Corinne Heel from Schutz has it all. I consider myself tall (for a girl) to start with so I feel like dainty heels just make me feel all out of proportion. Chunky heel + colour blocking = instant love. I’d be about 6 foot 2 in these, but who is counting?
The pink peaking out from underneath, the swipe of grey at the top of the heel and just the right amount of toe cleavage. Plus, they’re called Corinne. And that’s my mom’s name. Same spelling and everything. It’s probably meant to be. I mean, I’d totally lend them to her if she needed them.

I finally decided on a new pair of glasses. It came down to a pair of black Dolce & Gabbana’s and a pair of Mexx tortoise shell. The Mexx pair won. My glasses-wearing friends all suggested I visit Antoine Laoun on Ste-Catherine Street. Not only were they having a 40% off sale, but the salespeople were all very friendly and helpful. Win!
