The Daily Polish
My mom calls this dot design “whimsical yet subtle.” She was over for dinner the other night (except she brought dinner – hooray!) and of course I did her nails. She always wants something a little bit fancy, so when I came up with a new take on my signature one-dot manicure, she was pretty excited about it.
Except mom had red nails with pink dots. Mom always has red nails. Always.
The base colour in my own manicure is China Glaze Aquadelic and I did the dots with OPI Fly from the Nicki Minaj collection.

If you live in Toronto and you’ve never been to Body Blitz, you should call them right now and go. That’s all there is to it.
Start in the sea salt pool, spend a few minutes in the steam room (my favourite), then brave the cold plunge. I go right in up to my neck. Others are a bit wimpier. Then you hit the sauna, another cold plunge, the hot green tea pool, yet another cold plunge and then you can start all over. But just one round will leave you feeling like jell-o. Which is totally okay because there are these squooshy red loungers to close your eyes on.
When the manfriend is in town, we frequent Scandinave here in Montreal, but if I’m visiting my sister in Toronto Body Blitz is my go-to spa. It’s only for ladies.
As if any dudes read this blog anyway. Hah. That’s a bit funny.
I visited two weeks ago with my sister and my mom, and instead of getting a massage after (did I mention all the services they offer?) we each got a body glow. I really didn’t know what to expect when I followed I-forget-her-name into a little room with a concrete floor with a drain in it and what appeared to be a vinyl massage table in the middle of the little room. I lied down on the table on my stomach (um, nudie) and I-forget-her-name scrubbed me from head to toe with an exfoliating mitt and mint lime body wash. I smelled delicious.
Then she took a dollop of sweet ginger scrub, and I got another, more scrubby scrub down from head to toe. Even between my toes. Who scrubs there? Not me. Then she poured warm milk all over me (which apparently helps soothe skin) and after I was rinsed down a third time with a water gun apparatus, she rubbed me with moisturizing grape seed oil.
Result? The softest skin I’ve ever had. Ever. Did I mention ever?
All the products are for sale, so I took home a scrubby mitt for the manfriend so he wouldn’t feel left out of the scrub experience.

Sometimes I read a blog post about a certain beauty product and I get so excited I have to rush out and buy it.
That’s called shopping addiction.
Nevertheless, it happened yesterday when Arianne posted a photo of Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Bordeaux on Glitter Geek. Today I sported it over NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Damned. Quite sexy-like if you ask me. Minus my twit-like facial expression.

The Daily Polish
I’m all about nudes these days. I mean, I still love loud colours. And soft colours. And everything in between. But recently I’ve been in a mood for neutrals.
Here, I used A Cut Above from the Essie Luxeffects line (it’s pink glitter) over Moulin Rouge Light from Catrice, a polish I bought when I was in Amsterdam.

Fame whore: Montreal Gazette
Two Saturdays ago, my little house, my little blog and I were featured in the Montreal Gazette. My friends and family told me the interview sounded just like me, which is kind of fun. I always thought the Monteal Gazette needed a little Lindsayism in its life. Pretty boring otherwise.
But here’s a journalism secret: the interview didn’t go down like that, word for word. Tricky, eh?
I’ve posted a couple of the photos (even Henry is famous!), but you can have a looksee at the whole story here.
